Girmer is a peer-to-peer payment app that aims to combine secure transactions with real-time chat, rethinking how people send and receive money across borders. As Lead UI and Visual Identity Designer, I’ve been working closely with a talented team to shape a cohesive, intuitive interface that balances functionality with approachability. The focus is on simplifying cross-border payments across Nigeria and Africa, while fostering trust and connection. The design explores how to make transactions smooth and secure, while the chat feature adds a social, human element to the experience. Through the collaboration, we’re building a visual identity and UI that feels professional, reliable, and welcoming. Although still in development, this work aims to create a platform that empowers users and positions Girmer as a forward-thinking force in P2P payments.
